About this episode:
This episode was particularly special because the last time we covered the topic in this way, it was also at Student Pride - check back for the Access All Rainbows episode in season four for that. As host of the panel Char Bailey sets out, this recording was the first time she publically talked about having autism, and so to come full circle back to both the QueerAF podcast, and Student Pride to further the conversation was a great moment.
It also marks the 20th anniversary of an event that helped launch QueerAF into the stratosphere. We worked with them for our podcast's first four seasons, to commission student and graduate queer audio professionals. Alum from those mentoring schemes have gone on to work at the likes of BBC, Radio 1, Radio 4, PinkNews, Sony Music, Gaydio and many other top-tier media companies.
