What a shit week.
I'm not going to dance around it - this is a pivotal moment for the world, but as we set out this week, that doesn't mean the future is hopeless.
Far from it, if I've learned anything from pursuing a queer militant agenda ever since I could stick a rainbow badge on my t-shirt - we're a hardy bunch who doesn't take no for an answer.
So let's get stuck into the news this week - which though tough to bear - we've packaged in a safe, accessible boundaried way, which we promise is going to give you at least a glimpse into how the fight back has already begun.

π¬ This week:
- Trump: What a rubbish week. We're here to find the light in the darkness, pave a way forward, and make you feel - as ever - the change we want is not only achievable, itβs already out there. Boundaried analysis of the election ahead.
- Wes Streeting: The health secretary snuck out an extension of the Puberty Blocker ban amid the results of the US election on Wednesday. We've got what the Department of Health and Social said to our accusation they tried to bury it.
- Chappell Roan: Setting boundaries, protecting autonomy and being a massive queer - they're all lessons we can take from the starβs actions during her meteoric rise in the last few months. Alice Bethell tells us more in the Queer Gaze.
Skip the doomscrolling and support queer creatives instead. We are QueerAF β and so are you.
The media failed us on Trump last time - as a queer journalist, I refuse to let it happen again.
TL;DR: The media fails us when it doesn't report Trump's lies as exactly that. This time around, we must refuse. Meanwhile there are lessons from queer history that should guide us in this pivotal moment as we remind ourselves: we've won this fight before and we will again.
