This week's QueerAF is made possible by Editor tier member Sasha Swift.
She is a videographer, motion graphics artist and musician in the Midlands area and is the director of the upcoming documentary about gender transition, “Self-Assembly Required”. We first got in tough with Sasha when she faced a transphobic incident in a store, which Asda didn't respond to until we intervened. Thanks for your continued support Sasha!
"I'm supporting QueerAF because of the incredible work they do in amplifying the voices of under-represented members of the queer community. Having witnessed the powerful impact of their reporting first-hand, I believe that mutual support within the LGBTQIA+ community is one of our greatest strengths"

💬 This week:
- Puberty Blockers: We've received our first glimpse into a wider 'Pathways' study into gender affirming care for young Trans+ people in the UK. We look at what we know about the Puberty Blockers trial that's been announced.
- Sam Nordquist: More harrowing details have emerged about the murder of the trans man in New York last month. We don't list them in our coverage but do bring you up to speed on what you need to know.
- Roberta Cowell: WW2 pilot, engineer and motorsport racer, Roberta Cowell used her fame and success to tell a critical story: that she was more than Trans+. That's this week's lesson from the Trans+ History Week workbook.
Skip the doomscrolling and support queer creatives instead. We are QueerAF – and so are you.
What do we know about the NHS Puberty Blocker trial?
TL;DR: £10.7m in funding for the proposed puberty blocker trial for transgender children and teenagers has been announced, along with some limited initial details. However, it is still pending regulatory approval, so its start date is still a way off.
