Happy New Year! I hope your 2025 is off to a queer as f**k start.
For the hundreds of you who signed up over the holiday break, welcome to your first edition of QueerAF.
We're bringing you a shorter-than-usual edition to ease back into the new year, catch you up on the headlines you missed and lead with the change we want to see in journalism.
In the top slot, we've got our first-ever Queer Gaze of the year. Jonathan Tebble delivers a masterclass in the kind of communication we all deserve from journalism.
Reading his sincere expression of the urgency of the struggle to support trans youth, I was struck by Jonathanβs ability to keep his writing accessible, expressing urgency without the need for traumatic material, while leaving me feeling that the change we all want to see is out there.
It's what's unique about our blend of journalism - and it comes from the way we work. Ad-free, funded by members, non-profit. Training, supporting and reinvesting in a new generation of queer journalists to change the newsroom - to change the country.
We are Queer As F**K. And so are you.
